OUR MISSION

"The Jewish Community Relations Council of Westchester"

The Westchester Jewish Conference is the central coordinating, advisory and resource body for the Westchester Jewish community, representing over 130 Jewish organizations and serving nearly 150,000 Jews. As a Jewish community relations organization, the Conference unites Westchester Jewry with the State of Israel, fosters communication between Jewish organizations, as wells as cultivates and strengthens relations with other ethnic groups, elected officials and the community at large.

The passing of Rabbi Jacob S. and Deborah Rubenstein on Shabbat, April 5 leaves the greatest of voids.  May we all be comforted along with the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem and may their memory inspire us to work together in strengthening our Jewish community.

Do you know of a Jewish teenager still looking for something to do this summer?

Something that will look great on college applications and give them a stipend at the end of the summer?

Generation2Generation, an innovative four week program reaching out to Jewish teens from all backgrounds, is the answer.

  • Enrich the lives of older people while gaining new insights on Jewish tradition

  • Meet residents of The Hebrew Home at Riverdale and other amazing Jewish teenagers

  • Choice of two sessions: June 30-July 25 or July 28-August 22

  • $600 stipend provided to students at the end of the summer

This summer, teens can make a big difference, one that will change their world and the world of the residents of The Hebrew Home at Riverdale.  For more information, contact Ldorvdor@hebrewhome.org or call (718) 581-1404.
